Localization [English (us/gb) => German]

Even before gettext tried to establish some kind of standard in the field of software localisation in 1990 (which has since succeeded), we had already provided technical translations of defined strings for a large US software company in the communications sector.

Today, we perform most localisations into German (regular and formal) using artificial intelligence. Even though these applications produce amazing results in themselves, manual corrections by native speakers are still necessary.

In addition to pure translation, we also offer a source code checking service. Since software development is usually only done monolingual, proper working of gettext functions is often not thoroughly tested. Thus, the developer will not notice if the syntax may contain errors that could lead to dialog texts not being translated in the final product, even though the strings are actually available in translated form.
